- He thought the Communists were too radical
- OnvApril of 1927 he struck against the Chinese Communist Party
- This was known as the Shanghai Massacre
- Thousands of Communists were killed
- Massacre ended the alliance
- Communists fled to Jiangxi
- Mao Zeodong was in charge at Jiangi
- Nationalists establish a capital
